Cross-Burning Sentence

NEW YORK —
A 21-year-old man was sentenced Tuesday to one year and a day in federal prison for burning a cross with the letters KKK on the property of a black family in Mahopac, N.Y., last year. Daniel Impieri Jr. previously pleaded guilty to participating in a conspiracy to violate civil rights. James Primiano, 21, of Mahopac, pleaded guilty to aiding Impieri and was sentenced to three years of probation.
