COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : ROSE BOWL : USC Tosses Pounds Out of Rose Bowl
Coach John Robinson on Wednesday kicked one of his mainstays off the team for USC’s Rose Bowl game against Northwestern, but would not explain why.
Phalen Pounds, a 6-foot-7, 310-pound sophomore starter at right guard, got the boot for “a violation of team policy,” Robinson said, without elaboration.
