BRIEFLY: Royal Danish Ballet Update: In what is being called a preliminary victory for protesting parents, the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen has modified its controversial plans to move children of the Royal Danish Ballet school to a new location for their academic instruction--and to charge them tuition for the first time.

An agreement has reportedly been reached for the children to learn academics from the staff of the Zahles Skole, but the theater management will absorb all the costs and the students will spend the school day in close contact with members of the orchestra, opera, ballet and theater companies at the Royal Theatre--for the time being, at least. The job status of their current teachers remains in doubt.
