THOUSAND OAKS : Teen Party Planned for New Year’s Eve
The Thousand Oaks Teen Center Advisory Committee will sponsor a community Teen New Year’s Eve Celebration.
“The purpose of this program is to provide the teen population with a safe and positive alternative to the typical New Year’s Eve partying,” Brenda Coleman, the teen center director, said in a prepared statement. Community businesses are donating door prizes for the 500 party-goers anticipated.
Organizers said the event is designed for students in the seventh and eighth grades.
The party will be held Sunday from 8 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. at the teen center, 1375 E. Janss Road. Tickets are available for $6 at the center. School identification will be required for admission to the party.
