30 Killed, 25 Hurt as Bus in India Plunges Into Gorge

NEW DELHI —
Thirty people were killed and 25 injured Wednesday when the driver of a speeding bus failed to make a sharp turn on a mountain road and the vehicle plunged into a gorge 650 feet deep.
Sixty people were on board the bus when the accident occurred near Palampur in Himachal Pradesh state, about 375 miles north of New Delhi, the Press Trust of India news agency said.
