Fountain Valley Bank Robbed Again

Share

A bank robbed by a 17-year-old gunman only a week ago was hit again Saturday--this time by a slightly older robber, police said.

The California Federal Bank branch in the 17900 block of Magnolia Street was robbed of an undisclosed sum by a man who appeared to be in his early 20s, Lt. Larry Griswold said. The robber entered the bank just before 11:30 a.m. and handed a teller a note indicating that he had a gun, Griswold said.

The teller did not actually see a weapon, police said. Nobody was injured.

On Dec. 23, police shot and wounded a masked, armed teenager after he allegedly held up the same bank. The boy was not identified because of his age, but police said he might be responsible for several other recent bank robberies in the area.
