Developer Purchases 5.8 Acres in Ventura

A Calabasas builder, Colmer Development Co., has paid $4.5 million to purchase 5.8 acres in eastern Ventura.

Colmer has already started construction of 20 houses on the property, located on Telephone Road just east of Saticoy Avenue, according to Wayne Colmer, the company’s president. He said the houses should be completed sometime in April.

Colmer said he expects to develop at least three other projects in Ventura County this year--in Simi Valley, Moorpark and Newbury Park.
