Re “GOP Must Work on Message, Conservative Say,” Jan. 2:

Michael Huffington and his conservative cohorts are wrong to think that they need to use “more effective words” to communicate their message. Their message is being received loud and clear--the apparent surprise to conservatives is that the message isn’t being hailed with glee.

The compassion that conservatives sense they are failing to communicate can’t be created on a computer screen, manufactured or absorbed like a vitamin taken every morning. It’s either there or it isn’t. Conservatives can say whatever they want about themselves--for now, at least, their actions speak much louder than their words.
