Corporate Express, U.S. Delivery Announce Merger: Corporate Express Inc. said it will buy U.S. Delivery Systems Inc. for $410 million in stock, creating a new company with $1.6 billion in revenue that will sell and deliver office supplies. Broomfield, Colo.-based Corporate Express, which sells office products and services to large corporations, said it would exchange each U.S. Delivery share for 1.2 of its own shares. Houston-based U.S. Delivery, which provides same-day local delivery service to corporate clients, will share operating facilities, marketing strategies, key technologies and customers with Corporate Express, company officials said. The merger, expected to be completed at the end of March, is subject to approval by both companies’ stockholders and federal regulators.
