Fluor Daniel Unit Wins India Contract

Fluor Daniel said Tuesday its Petroleum and Petrochemicals company has been awarded a contract to study the feasibility of a refinery on the east coast of India.

The contract, awarded by the Indian Oil Corp. and Kuwait Petroleum Corp., calls for Fluor Daniel to provide engineering services as part of the study, which is scheduled to be completed by the middle of this year. The value of the contract was not disclosed.

Indian Oil, headquartered in New Delhi, is the nation’s largest refining company and operates six refineries throughout India. Kuwait Petroleum, based in Safat, Kuwait, is engaged in the exploration, production, refining, transportation and marketing of hydrocarbons and related products.
