Hariston Corp. Completes HighText Purchase

Hariston Corp. said it has completed its previously announced acquisition of HighText Publications, a San Diego publisher of educational software.

Hariston said it bought HighText for 146,138 shares of common stock and will assume about $170,000 in current liabilities. It said it will pay additional stock consideration based on the future profitability of HighText’s book publishing operations and any product patents that might be issued.

Separately, Hariston also said it has been informed that Polish Life Improvement SA, a Polish retailer with 12 supermarket and home improvement stores, has received approval from the Polish Securities Commission to list its shares for public trading on the Warsaw market. Hariston owns 1.65 million shares of Polish Life, representing a 23% stake.
