Share

In response to New York’s worst blizzard in nearly 50 years, Gardena-based Nissin Foods, inventor and maker of instant noodle soup, on Thursday donated more than 120,000 servings of the instant ramen to City Harvest, the country’s largest food rescue agency.

The ramen noodle soup has been distributed to 150 emergency food programs in New York City. City Harvest delivers an average of 15,000 pounds of food daily to low-income families, elderly, homeless and handicap individuals. Nissen’s donation is expected to feed 30,000 people for four weeks.
