Armed Man Robs Ventura Motel Clerk

An armed robber made off with a small amount of cash early Thursday after sticking up a Ventura motel, police reported.

Ventura police officers said a man brandished a gun in the reception area of the Motel 6 on Johnson Drive about 12:30 a.m. The bandit told the desk clerk, “I want it all,” and forced her to empty the contents of the cash register, police said.

Police did not disclose how much cash was taken. The robber fled on foot and is described as white, 6 feet, 2 inches, 175 pounds with light brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a dark baseball cap and a blue jacket.
