QLogic Corp.: The Costa Mesa computer products company reported that net income declined 40% for the third fiscal quarter to $444,000, or 8 cents a share, from $745,000, or 13 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 31 dropped 3% to $14.9 million from $15.4 million. For the nine months, the company lost $66,000, or 1 cent a share, contrasted with net income of $1.9 million, or 35 cents a share, in the same period a year ago. Revenue was down 16% to $37.6 million from $45 million.
