Venus and Saturn, the two planets in teh evening sky, ae separated by 8 degrees tonight. (This is less than the span of your fist held at arm’s length.) Venus is moving toward Saturn and will be just over 1 degree apart. Venus is dazzingly brilliant in the southwest soon after sunset; Saturn is less than one- hundredth as bright. The best time to observe is around 6 p.m.
