Motorola Paging to Become Industry Standard in China: The Schaumburg, Ill.-based company said it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese government to make its high-speed paging technology the national standard there. Financial details of the preliminary agreement with China’s Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications were not released. Motorola Inc.’s Flex paging system lets paging companies put more users on each channel, the company said, and is used in 70% of the world’s largest paging markets.
