Zoning Board Hearings Due on Antenna, Fence
A Los Angeles zoning board will hold public hearings on a number of applications for city permits in the next two weeks, including a proposed cell phone antenna in Sun Valley, a proposed storage facility in a Sun Valley neighborhood and a proposed higher-than-allowed fence in Sherman Oaks.
The Board of Zoning Appeals hearings will be held at 201 N. Figueroa St., Room 170, Los Angeles.
The applications include requests to:
* Modify a zoning administrator’s decision granting a conditional-use permit to build a 60-foot cellular phone antenna at 12831 Muscatine St. in Sun Valley. The appeal targets the height of the antenna. The hearing will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
* Overturn a zoning administrator’s denial of a variance that would have allowed the construction of a self-service storage building at 9327 San Fernando Road in Sun Valley, a residential zone. The hearing will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
* Overturn a zoning administrator’s denial of permission to build a fence ranging from 8 1/2 to 10 feet tall around a home at 3548 Beverly Ridge Drive in Sherman Oaks. Usually fences in that area can be no higher than either 3 1/2 or 6 feet, depending on whether the fence is in the front yard or around the sides.
The hearing will be at 9 a.m. Feb. 13.
