Wofford Avoids Shutout, but Little Else
Clemson outscored Wofford, 26-0, in the first 10 minutes of the game, led, 39-7, at the half and went on to defeat the Terriers, 77-28, in a nonleague game Tuesday night.
The Tigers (14-5) scored on 11 of their first 14 possessions.
Wofford (1-17), a Division II school, shot only 18% from the field, and its 28 points were the lowest total against Clemson in 16 years.
All 11 Clemson players in uniform scored. Greg Buckner led the Tigers with 16 points.
Clemson shot a season-high 57% from the field and outrebounded the Terriers, 44-25.
Wofford was led by Terrance Gilyard, who scored 10 points.
