Several medical groups are offering free programs this month to test seniors for their vulnerability to strokes.

As part of the HeartScore ’96 program sponsored by Health Net Seniority Plus, doctors will screen elderly people for high blood pressure and write up stroke assessment summaries to identify those at risk of strokes, one of the leading causes of death among those over 65.

The free screenings will be offered in Orange County at:

* Yorba Park Medical Group in Orange, 2501 E. Chapman Ave., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.

* Bristol Park Medical Group in Fountain Valley, 11420 Warner Ave., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
