Ex-Prisoner of War to Speak at Event

Larry J. Chesley, author of “Seven Years in Hanoi,” will be the keynote speaker at the Mayor’s Annual Prayer Breakfast on March 13.

Chesley is an Arizona state senator who retired from the Air Force after 22 years.

He will share his experience of how faith helped him overcome being held a prisoner of war in Vietnam.

While serving, he earned two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star for Valor and two Silver Stars for Gallantry.
