FileNet Reports 11% Gain in Income

FileNet Corp. posted an 11% increase in net income for 1995 on a 22% gain in revenue.

The software company said that net income last year rose to $14.8 million, or $1.07 a share, from $13.3 million, or $1.02 a share, for 1994. The 1995 figure included an after-tax charge of $5 million for merger costs. Revenue rose to $215.5 million from $176.9 million.

Net income for the fourth quarter increased 65% to a record $8.4 million, or 59 cents a share, from the $5.1 million, or 39 cents a share, for the fourth quarter a year ago. Revenue increased 22% to $63.6 million from $52.1 million.
