THE HEIDI CHRONICLES

“A Heidi’s-Eye View” (by Kristine McKenna, Feb. 4), although well-written, stopped short of the most important point about the matter: the incredible unfairness toward Heidi Fleiss. Because of intense media coverage, the prosecution conducted a “throw-the-book” case against Ms. Fleiss that bordered on persecution.

Every major charge against Ms. Fleiss required many others, famous and obscure, taking part. She should not have been selectively prosecuted, now to stand alone to face punishment, when many others, far more involved, do not face sentencing.
