Just weeks after an attacker plunged a pair of scissors into her skull, a woman has astounded doctors by returning to work.

Other than a scar over her left eye and another behind her right ear, Tamecka Grate says, she has virtually no permanent damage.

The attacker jammed the scissors 4 inches into her head. X-rays showed the blades missed her spinal cord, brain and major blood vessels.

Doctors removed the scissors 13 hours later.

Grate, 24, was attacked on New Year’s Day when she let an acquaintance into her apartment to use the phone.

She managed to dial 911 and leave her telephone off the hook during the attack.

Police arrested Emanuel Moffert, 26, on a charge of aggravated assault.

Prosecutors said they would seek another indictment on an attempted murder charge.
