Countywide : AIDS-Prevention Volunteers Sought
The Ventura County Public Health Department is looking for volunteers to help them create an HIV / AIDS prevention program that will be implemented throughout the county.
This will be the second year the county has received funds from the state Office of AIDS to put the program together. Students, professionals and parents are welcome to participate.
With 707 AIDS cases reported in Ventura and another 1,000 to 3,000 residents testing positive for HIV, public health officials hope to help prevent additional cases through the education the program provides.
To volunteer, please call 652-6503.
