Nation IN BRIEF : FLORIDA : Lawmaker Caught With Prostitute Quits
A week after being caught receiving oral sex from a prostitute in a Tallahassee, Fla., shopping center parking lot, a conservative Republican Florida lawmaker resigned his office. State Rep. Marvin Couch, whose record in office had earned a perfect rating from the Christian Coalition of Florida, said
he was sorry for his actions. Deputies said Couch, 42, and a prostitute were caught in the act after he paid $22 for oral sex. He was arrested on three misdemeanor charges, and also admitted paying prostitutes for sex in the past. Couch is married and has six children.
