Algerian Ivy

Please let Patricia Earl (letter, Feb. 22) know that the name of the “out of control English Ivy” she writes about is wrong. The ivy she sees is the awful Algerian ivy and should be abolished from all our beautiful gardens. Algerian ivy is the favorite home for rats and mice in the area. So gardeners, revolt and refuse to plant this pest.

Don’t blame it on the British.
