Visual Software Agrees to Purchase by Micrografx

Visual Software Inc., a Woodland Hills supplier of 3-D computer graphics, animation and publishing products, has agreed to be acquired by a large graphics software developer.

Micrografx Inc. of Richardson, Texas, will acquire Visual Software for 880,000 shares of its common stock, which have a total market value of about $12 million.

Visual Software said its 1995 revenues were about $5 million.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and other conditions.
