Dinner-Dance to Fete Boys & Girls Clubs
All Boys & Girls clubs of Ventura County will be honored Saturday at the Palmer Drug Abuse Program of Ventura County dinner and dance in Oxnard.
The fifth annual “celebration of life” event will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Oxnard Hilton Inn. This year’s theme is “Community prevention efforts: providing drug-free choices for children and youth.”
The clubs will be praised for their programs to promote self-esteem and self-confidence in children and to encourage children and teens to resist drugs and alcohol.
Superior Court Judge Steven Z. Perren will be the featured speaker.
