Compost Workshop Free to the Public

Are you a Conejo Valley gardener eager to save time, money and water? If so, the city of Thousand Oaks has something for you.

Thousand Oaks will sponsor a free home compost workshop March 23 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Conejo Valley Botanical Garden. The garden is at Conejo Community Park near Dover and Hendrix avenues.

Compost bins will be available for discount purchase, and there will be a drawing for a free compost bin. Participants should bring a folding chair and a bag of vegetable scraps for the worm bin.
