Keep Dana Point the Way It Is

Share

People are getting way too greedy. They want to make money off every single thing they can get their hands on. Now they want to change the Dana Point Harbor into some kind of entertainment park (“Floating a Few Ideas,” March 4). They want an indoor aquarium, more retail shops, an outdoor amphitheater and an in-line skating rink, just to name a few. The Marine Institute wants to build an extension for their building that would cost $25 million to $30 million, and by that time the Marine Institute would be a private, nonprofit organization.

Contractors also want to build a resort near Doheny Beach Park. They want to take more of our natural habitat away from us. I hope Dana Point City Council members [make] the right choice, to keep Dana Point the way it is.
