South Bay : PLAY WITH POLICE
As part of their commitment to increase community-based policing, the Hawthorne police will hold their first annual open house Saturday.
Police have planned several demonstrations including a presentation on how they use dogs and firing ranges. Equipment used by the SWAT team will be on hand and games will be provided for kids.
The open house will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hawthorne police station, 4440 126th St.
