Survival in the current changing business climate will be the subject of a business outlook conference this morning in Oxnard.
The meeting, organized by the Ventura County Economic Development Assn., will include speakers from Bank of America, GTE California Inc. and the California State University system. They will discuss how local businesses can adapt to changes in technology, competition and consumer demand.
“The concept is that there is nothing really constant that you as a business person can count on,” said conference moderator Ed Summers, who works for the Bank of America. “How do we adapt and deal with these changes?”
The five-hour conference starts at 8:15 a.m. at the Oxnard Hilton Inn on Esplanade Drive. Admission is $60 for association members, $75 for nonmembers.
