LSU junior guard Ronnie Henderson, the leading scorer in the Southeastern Conference the last two years, reversed an earlier decision and announced that he will declare for the NBA draft. Henderson, who averaged 21.8 points a game this season, said he is getting married and wants to be able to provide for his family. . . . Florida State Coach Pat Kennedy has reportedly interviewed with St. John’s about its coaching vacancy and has emerged as a leading candidate to replace fired Red Storm coach Brian Mahoney. . . . Tennessee extended Kevin O’Neill’s coaching contract one year through 2001. The extension also brings an annual pay increase of $30,000, said Doug Dickey, Tennessee’s athletic director. O’Neill’s annual financial package is now $375,000, with base pay of $130,000.
