Data 1 Completes Sale

Data 1 Inc., a Sarasota, Fla.-based company that sells computer memory products, has completed the sale of its Irvine manufacturing operations to the top executive of that unit, company officials said.

Alfred Egan, formerly director of engineering for Data 1, said he will now be the sole owner and chief executive of the manufacturing unit, which has seven employees and will be called Standard Memorys Inc. Egan declined to discuss terms of the deal. He said Data 1 will be a customer of Standard Memorys.
