PEBBLE BEACH--Explore the art of horticulture at the Pebble Beach Garden Show, April 12-14. The show, themed “American Garden Style, Indoors and Out,” is 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Lodge at Pebble Beach on the 17-Mile Drive. SANTA MARIA--Celebrate a favorite fruit of the season at the Santa Maria Valley Strawberry Festival, April 19-21, at Santa Maria’s fairgrounds on Staowell Avenue. WALNUT CREEK--The Lindsay Museum presents an Earth Day Festival, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. April 20. SAN DIEGO--The 13th annual Avenues of the Arts celebration brings handcrafted wares, live music, children’s projects and exotic foods to the streets of the Gaslamp Quarter, April 20-21. Festivities are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on 5th Avenue, between Market and L streets. Free. (619) 239-1143.

RIVERSIDE--There’s a citrus scent to the fun at the second annual Sunkist Orange Blossom Festival, 10 a.m.-dusk, April 20-21. Riverside, home of the naval orange, celebrates its orange history with a “gourmet grove” of orange delicacies, live entertainment on four stages, vintage trains and cars and a parade at 10 a.m. Saturday. Visitors are encouraged to wear turn-of-the-century costumes to commemorate the area’s citrus-rich period of the 1870s-1930s. Free. In downtown and Citrus State Historic Park. (800) 382-8202.
