Obituaries : Geneva Mae Keeran; 38-Year County Resident

Geneva Mae Keeran, a Ventura County resident for nearly four decades, has died in Downey at the age of 84.

Keeran, who died Monday after a long illness, lived in Ojai for 38 years until moving to Downey three years ago.

She was born Oct. 31, 1911, in Paducah, Ky. She had worked as a secretary for an insurance company for 15 years before retiring.

Keeran was a member of the Ojai Presbyterian Church and the Esther Circle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin H. Keeran, in 1974. She is survived by her brother, James Coleman of Florida and Ojai.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ojai Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Thomas Bousman of Santa Paula Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.

Memorial donations may be made to Ojai Presbyterian Church.
