Urohealth Systems Inc.: The Costa Mesa designer and manufacturer of disposable and reusable medical products reported net income of $444,000, or 4 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter ended March 31, compared with a net loss of $3.1 million, or 27 cents a share, for the same quarter a year ago. Sales increased 45%, to $14.5 million from $10 million. For the nine months, the company lost $18.6 million, or $1.50 a share, which included restructuring charges and merger and acquisition costs totaling $9.7 million. A year earlier, Urohealth lost $16.4 million, or $1.42 a share, which included restructuring charges and merger and acquisition costs totaling $2.9 million. Sales rose 24%, to $39.6 million from $31.9 million.

The company also announced that it has changed its fiscal year-end to March 31 from June 30.
