Residents Can Get Rid of Hazardous Waste

Share

Moorpark residents will be able to rid their homes of hazardous waste such as old paints, solvents, pesticides, cleansers and batteries from 9 a.m. to noon on May 18.

A maximum of five gallons or 50 pounds of material will be accepted from each resident. The city will not accept business or commercial waste, used medical supplies, old explosives, tires, or radioactive material.

Because space is limited, appointments are required and must be made by May 14. Call the city’s 24-hour appointment line at 529-6864, ext. 333, to schedule a time.

Appointment confirmation cards--which will include details and location for the collection--will be mailed out prior to the event. The confirmation card will also be required for admission.
