Former Smith Barney Executive Treadway Joins Pimco Advisors

Stephen J. Treadway has been appointed executive vice president of Newport Beach-based Pimco Advisors L.P. He will oversee the retail mutual fund group, Pimco Advisors Funds, and will be based in Stamford, Conn. Robert A. Prindiville, a founder of Pimco’s retail fund group, will remain as a trustee and president of Pimco Advisors. Treadway joins Pimco from Smith Barney Inc., where he was an executive vice president and before that, chief executive of Smith Barney Mutual Funds and Smith Barney Funds.

* Clifford R. Endresen has been named senior vice president and manager of the real estate division of Frontier Bank in La Palma. Endresen, who joined Frontier a year ago, had been vice president and manager of the division.

* Roger T. Monaco has been appointed to the new position of vice president of finance and chief financial officer for Access Television Network in Irvine. He was previously a vice president in Times Mirror Co.’s Consumer Media Group, where he was responsible for all financial planning and analysis for multimedia, cable programming and consumer magazines.

* Dennis R. Honabach has been appointed dean of Western State University College of Law in Fullerton. He had been associate dean of education at the District of Columbia School of Law since 1992. Honabach has also been a professor of law at Vermont Law School and an associate professor of law at Rutgers University-Camden School of Law.

* Susan Kennedy has been named to the newly created position of vice president of marketing for TouchStone Software Corp. in Huntington Beach. Kennedy had been director of marketing since joining the company last August. Before that, she was product marketing manager for San Diego-based Stac Electronics, a developer and producer of utility software products.

* Thomas C. Tekulve has been named chief financial officer of Safeguard Health Enterprises Inc., an Anaheim managed health care company. He joined the company as vice president of finance and information systems last year.

* Dom Genovese has been appointed vice president of sales for Sync Research Inc., an Irvine developer of computer networking products. Before joining the company, he was regional sales manager for Cisco Systems in Silicon Valley. Genovese has also held management positions at Alantec, Rockwell/CMC, Gould Software, Advance Electric and ADEC.

* Diane Coyne has been named vice president and professional liability practice leader at the Costa Mesa branch of Johnson & Higgins, an insurance broker. She was previously a broker with Marsh & McLennan Inc. for six years.

* Frederick M. Haney has joined Cruttenden Roth, an Irvine investment bank and brokerage, as senior vice president, private equity investments. He was formerly president of Venture Management Co. in Palos Verdes Estates. Before that, Haney founded and managed 3i Ventures, a high technology fund, from 1984 to 1991. In addition, S. Kendrick Dunn has joined the company as senior vice president responsible for compliance and human resources. He succeeds Dennis Holtorf, who has become chief operating officer for Navellier & Associates in Nevada. Dunn was previously with ASB Financial Services.

* James H. Smith has been appointed manager of water resources for Hunsaker & Associates in Irvine. He had operated a private consulting firm for the past 15 years. Hunsaker & Associates provides engineering, planning and design services.

* Melissa Orr has been named vice president of worldwide sales for Graphix Zone, an Irvine developer and publisher of interactive music and entertainment multimedia products. Prior to joining the company, Orr was director of national retail accounts for Symantec Corp., a utility software manufacturer, and before that director of channel sales and national accounts for SofNet Inc.

* Carl J. Margolis has joined General Automation Inc. in Irvine as vice president of engineering. He will head up the company’s software engineering group and spearhead the development of relational database systems. Margolis was formerly telephone voice processing consultant for RSoft, an Illinois software development company.
