Writers’ Group Forming at Cypress Senior Center

CYPRESS — A new organization for older writers has been launched by the Cypress Senior Citizens Center.

Called Writer’s Bloc, the group meets every Wednesday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the senior center, 9031 Grindlay St. It is open to anyone 40 or older who lives in the Cypress area.

“We anticipate Writer’s Bloc will fill a void for many writers, providing a means for them to learn and share . . . in an informal setting,” said Shelley Hellen, director of activities at the senior center.
