2 Men, 2 Youths Held in Anti-Gang Raids
In the latest crackdown on gangs in Oxnard, police arrested two men and two teenagers early Friday in a sweep of 14 homes.
David Arrieta, 18, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and Ricardo Flores, 19, was arrested on suspicion of violating the terms of his probation.
Two 15-year-old youths were also arrested in the sweep, one on suspicion of a probation violation and the other on an outstanding warrant.
An array of gang-related paraphernalia, including a crossbow, was seized during raids conducted by 28 officers from the Oxnard and Port Hueneme police departments and the district attorney and probation offices.
The operation was a response to a recent increase in gang-related violence in the city.
