Guerrillas detonated a roadside bomb in occupied southern Lebanon, wounding an Israeli soldier. The Iranian-backed Hezbollah, or Party of God, claimed responsibility for the attack. Israeli artillery and tanks retaliated by shelling the main Hezbollah stronghold in southern Lebanon.
