* Re “A Cup of Coffee, a Life of Conflict,” by Samar Assad, Commentary, May 15, lamenting the loss of a Palestinian home, among other things: One wonders if she is aware that 800,000 Jews lost their millennia-old homes in Arab countries--and there would have been no refugees, Arab or Jewish--if Arab countries had not attacked Israel in ’48. And that at least half the Israeli Jews are of Middle East origin. Perhaps she could do some research here.
