4 Sought in Holdup at Clothing Store
Police are looking for four men who robbed a clothing store Tuesday while holding two employees hostage, then drove the employees to Seal Beach before releasing them unharmed, police said.
The incident began about 11 a.m. Tuesday, when four men with shaved heads entered Basic Clothing, in the 11900 block of Valley View Street, Garden Grove Police Lt. John Woods said.
One of the men held the employees in a back room, while the others “cleaned out the store,” Woods said. The men then put the two employees into a white rental van and drove them to Seal Beach. The victims contacted Seal Beach police about 1:30 a.m., Woods said.
Two of the robbers were armed with handguns, Woods said. The amount of the loss was unknown Tuesday evening, he said. The four men are wanted on charges of armed robbery and kidnapping.
