CCN Promotes Executive: Judith “Judee” Kendall, publisher of the Glendale News-Press and the Foothill Leader and Burbank Leader, is now vice president and general manager of California Community News, a Times Mirror subsidiary. In this new position, Kendall, who reports to Jeffrey S. Klein, CCN president and chief executive, is responsible for CCN’s business affairs and production operations. She will continue to serve as publisher of the two papers. CCN also publishes the Daily Pilot and Huntington Beach Independent in Orange County and three weekly community news sections distributed with the Los Angeles Times: Westside Weekly, San Gabriel Valley Weekly and a Glendale/Foothills section. CCN was acquired by Times Mirror Co. in May 1993. Times Mirror is the publisher of The Times.
