Two boys from different social stations experience adventure together in a rebroadcast of the Disney Channel’s The Whipping Boy (Sunday at 7 p.m.). A streetwise orphan becomes the new palace whipping boy, or stand-in, for a spoiled prince. For ages 10 and up.

In People: A Musical Celebration (Disney Channel, Tuesday at 7 p.m.), many styles of animation--computer, puppet, paper-cut and 3-D--are used to celebrate the world’s diversity. A young girl and her grandmother take a worldwide journey to explore the many cultures around the globe. For ages 10 and up.

CBS repeats its Emmy Award-winning “Schoolbreak Special,” Other Mothers (Tuesday at 3 p.m.), about a teen-age boy who is coping with the discovery by teachers and friends that his parents are lesbians. The special stars Meredith Baxter, Joanna Cassidy, Judith Ivey, Joe Regalbuto, Charlie Robinson, William Russ and Justin Whalin. Whalin, who picked up an Emmy as best performer in a children’s special, plays an athletic and outgoing teenager who joins the varsity basketball team at his new high school. For the family.

Children have an opportunity to speak openly about their looks in Nick News Special Edition: The Body Trap (Nickelodeon, Wednesday at 8 p.m.). Journalist Linda Ellerbee and actress-comedian Rosie O’Donnell talk to kids about the source of their feelings about body image and who they really are. O’Donnell talks about how she succeeded despite her weight and how it has helped and hurt her in Hollywood. For ages 10 and up.
