‘Itch’ to Kick Off Conservancy Series

The Los Angeles Conservancy’s 10th annual Last Remaining Seats series of old movies shown in old South Broadway movie palaces begins Wednesday with the 8 p.m. screening of “The Seven Year Itch” (1955), starring Marilyn Monroe, at the Los Angeles Theater, 615 S. Broadway.

The conservancy will mark the June 1 70th anniversary of Monroe’s birth with festivities and exhibits starting at 5:30 p.m. There will be also be special presentations throughout the series, which will be Wednesdays at 8 p.m. through June 26 at various downtown theaters.
