Uni-Net Unit Bought

A Louisiana company said Tuesday it is purchasing $10.5 million in business and accounts from Universal Network Services, a division of Uni-Net Inc. in Newport Beach.

Network Long Distance Inc. in Baton Rouge said it is buying essentially all of the direct dial, toll-free and travel card long distance businesses of Uni-Net, whose customer base is concentrated on the West Coast and in the Southeastern U.S.
