Don’t Shoot! Personality conflicts are the cause of nearly half of all violence at work and 21% of financial losses, according to Woodland Hills-based Louis Rovner, who recruits and interviews job candidates for companies. . . . Of 187 business owners and executives surveyed, 81% “could attribute dollars and cents losses to personality conflict,” Rovner said Monday.

Don’t Smoke! Every time you light up, city employees get a fatter pension. Councilman Marvin Braude, who represents parts of the Valley and West L.A., introduced a motion Tuesday to divest city pension funds of tobacco-related stocks. . . . The city has $184 million invested in the stocks, out of a total of $16 billion.
