Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers

There is another segment of the population to be considered when discussing a ban on gas-powered leaf blowers: the small-home owner.
I own a typical tract house in Van Nuys. I work five days a week to support it. Before I bought my gas-powered lawn mower and gas-powered leaf blower, I used to spend most of my weekends mowing and raking the leaves from the four trees on my property. My weekends are too valuable to waste in that manner.
Most of the people on my block do their own gardening. No one starts real early, and we’ve never had a problem. Do the police really have time to cruise the residential neighborhoods on Saturday and Sunday morning, ticketing us peaceful homeowners?
